Is it worth paying for a voice over artist?

New Blog Post:
This may be a question that you’ve asked yourself before, or for a lot of you, it probably wouldn’t have even crossed your mind. But there is certainly a proportion of society that own businesses, or are in charge of high profile brands that must at times ask themselves this question. Is it worth paying for a professional voice over artist to promote their brand/company?...

My PayPal Pay Now Button Has Gone Wonky

Just a quick update - as I was doing some fiddling with the site yesterday, I've managed to ruin the code that was connected to my paypal page for clients to be able to pay. I'm getting this sorted by my web techie so bear with me until this is fixed. Obviously this only affects people paying me via PayPal, BACS etc is all still fine. Should be back to normal very soon.

o2 Causing Controversy With Apple Fans!

Well, after a series of good announcements from Apple at this year's WWDC event in San Francisco, it seems Apple/o2 have stirred up massive controversy. With purportedly huge upgrade fees for iPhone 3G users to upgrade to the new iPhone '3G S', it doesn't look like there'll be many people queuing this time round!

On first reports, handset cost (on my tariff) works out to about £170. I don't mind that due to the massive 32GB storage plus the new hardware features, but with the requiremen [...]

Just realised that I've not updated the blog for a fair while.....whoops!

Things have been rather busy recently, lots of different things in the pipeline with different people, and some very exclusive exciting projects which will be coming your way very soon.

As things had become quite mad, I took the last week off down in Cornwall....and now as I look out the window on a very hot and sunny Monday afternoon, I'm wishing I was back here again! :

<img src="http://farm4.st [...]

Business Radio Page Now Live

I've adapted the pre-existing podcast page to turn it into something which is a bit more in-depth, and hopefully is easier to understand. From people that I've spoken to, they have a much better idea when talking about 'business radio' than using the term podcast, which can be quite ambiguous in its nature. For more information on this, please see this.

New Changes Now Live

As you will have hopefully noticed, there have been some new changes to the website - hopefully now you'll find it a bit more intuitive. I must admit, I'm having a couple of second thoughts as to where a couple of the sections should go! However, fear not, they won't be far away. On every page underneath the monkey, you'll be able to see an image where you can sign up to my monthly podcast/news mailshot. Feel free to sign up, as you'll get exclusive offers and freebies coming your way, as wel [...]

A Winter Wonderland??

What a turn up for the books! Just as soon as I thought the weather was beginning to change for the better, what do we get?? A good dose of the white stuff.

Now, I'm no friend of snow at the best of times, but today was just ridiculous. I had a meeting booked for this morning across town, which I could easily have got to, but as other people were coming from further afield for the meeting as well, it was cancelled first thing.

So I've been tucked inside waiting for it to melt, jus [...]

Some Slight 'Tweaks'

As you'll probably have noticed, the site's had a few slight tweaks in the last few days - a couple of pages have moved round and are now located in a couple of drop-down menus. Hopefully you've found what you're looking for easier, as I start to get the site performing a little more intuitively.

There are further developments soon to be implemented, including a recent projects section and an all-new podcasts section, where you can download our monthly podcast in mp3 form, and get the l [...]

There will be some changes coming soon to the look of the site - there will be enhanced features, all new ringtones and spoof voicemails, and a lot more functionality (as far as I'm concerned, at least!)

Lots of things in the pipeline, not least of all, my own podcast which I shall be producing monthly - you'll be able to download it through iTunes and of course from this site. (New page for that coming soon).

If you'd be so kind as to bookmark the homepage and please do check [...]

Well guys, 2009 is here at last - and my reason for the delay in posting this - been busy!

What can I say? There's just been too many jobs to be done.

2009 has started on a very positive note, on leads in to TV work, increasing my exposure in the business community, with lots of other audio production studios wanting to speak to me about voicing for their projects.

So all in all, LOVING the start to 2009, and long may it continue!

Happy New Year folks! :o)
