I found this video yesterday of Jack Dorsey, one of the founders of Twitter. He talks about how it all came to be – and of his new venture, Square; the small gizmo you plug into your phone to process card payments.

The idea of being able to take payments in this way, (& similar products that work in the UK like the iZettle, which is similar, but uses chip and pin) are really revolutionising the way small businesses can accept card payments with the minimum of fuss.

The technology ecosystem ongoing looks set to improve even further, and make it even easier to get paid by clients.
