Well, the day arrived. After receiving confirmation Market Harborough had won the competition, we had a call to attend the grand unveiling of the new 1-day-only signpost, to be changed to ‘Meerkat Harborough‘. It meant an early start for me living over an hour away, for an early call time, but it was well worth it. Even for a Thursday, there was a good turnout for the unveiling, of which we had an ITV tv crew in attendance, as well as other journalists and local radio, of which I gave them a short interview which will have been broadcast today. (Will get a copy of the audio track and update this blog post with it as soon as I receive it.

It will also be featured on ITV Central News (East Mids) so will hopefully receive a copy from another member of ‘the team’ to see the grand unveiling on that too.

There will be the official pics released soon as well, which will hopefully be hitting the papers for tomorrow morning, so will get a proper pic up tomorrow as well, but here’s a couple of pics to keep you going.
