For those of you that have followed my antics being involved with a small team of people campaigning for Market Harborough to be twinned with the village of Meerkovo after a recent marketing campaign from the Compare The Market people, I am delighted to inform the world that our efforts have paid off! It was announced today on The Meerkovian, the meerkat’s village newspaper that ‘Meerkat Harborough’ was the winning entry out of hundreds of towns entering.

There is a press call tomorrow which I will be attending in Market Harborough, where the new town sign will be erected for one day, so hopefully you’ll see us all in a newspaper near you in the next 48 hours!
