World’s First Wearable Microphone

Behold! For I have within my possession, the world’s first wearable microphone!

Ok, so it doesn’t actually record – but it sure as hell looks amazing!

I had this specially made, commissioning the sister of a good mate of mine, Lianne Berploudest, who is a crochet ninja – she really can make ANYTHING. Seriously, you need to check out her stuff – it’s mind-blowing some of this stuff!

It’s based on my very own Neumann TLM103 mic, complete with (removable) shockmount! So for the days I want to look like a normal human being, I can just unbutton it and for those not in the know, it looks like a regular beanie – but for fellow audio geeks, it may raise a smile 🙂

If you’d like to chuck a commission her way, check out her Etsy Shop here:

  1. You haven’t quite got the hang of this “Sex God” thing yet Rich, but you’re heading in the right direction. Just a pair of MC Hammer pants in wicker and you’re there.

    • Hi Faith – many thanks!

Yes it’s certainly got a lot of views now this post – amazed how popular it’s become! Hopefully it’ll inspire others to be a bit more creative with their headgear from now on rather than settling for regular beanies!
